Our design process starts with a consultation where we walk the property with our customer and discuss, in detail, their needs and desires for space being transformed. Consultation discussions include budget, color preferences, family functions, and choice materials and plants. Depending on the project we may also discuss wildlife, parking, entertaining needs, play areas for kids, and the desire for shade or more sun. We gather as much information as possible to ensure that we create a unique and highly personal design that is tailored to our customer’s needs and preferences.
Our designs are hand-drawn and submitted to customers in an 18×24” presentation. Included with the presentation is a key with descriptions and design thoughts on every depicted element. In an effort to bring our designs to life, we artistically apply texture, color and shading to the drawings. These additions give our drawings depth and provide distinct shape to our designs’ many elements. We take the extra time and effort to include these artistic touches so that customers can better visualize the final product.
For additional clarification, we provide customers with a packet that includes photos of all the plants, outdoor art, and garden structures depicted in the design. For projects that involve greater detail, this packet will include 3D sketches of the design’s more intricate elements. Also provided is a plan and estimate for suggested outdoor lighting.
As you can see, we put a great deal of effort into every design package. We put forth this great effort to excite our customers about their project and to ensure they fully understand and visualize their outdoor living space.
